The Four Streets — Chapter 4 | PocketCherries™ Beginner Course
A hand of Texas Hold’em unfolds across four betting rounds, each called a “street”. This chapter walks through every stage: pre-flop, flop, turn, and river — explaining how community cards are revealed and when players can act.
The Four Streets
- Pre-flop — Each player receives two hole cards. Betting starts to the left of the big blind. Players fold, call, or raise.
- Flop — Three community cards are dealt face up. A new betting round begins with the first active player to the left of the dealer button.
- Turn — A fourth community card is added. Another round of betting follows.
- River — The fifth and final community card is revealed. Last round of betting, then remaining players show their cards at showdown.
