Frequently Asked Questions

Is PocketCherries™ free to play?

Yes! PocketCherries™ is completely free: both the gameplay and the coaching that is built by winning poker players and enhanced by AI. Practice as many hands as you want with unlimited feedback, no sign-up or payment required.

Do I need to download anything?

No download required. PocketCherries™ runs entirely in your web browser and works on both desktop and mobile devices. Just open the site and start playing.

How does the coaching work?

The coaching is built on the strategy of winning poker players and delivered in real time with AI. It analyzes every hand you play and gives feedback on your decisions, covering preflop hand strength, flop texture reads, pot odds, position strategy, and more. After each hand, you can also request a Coach’s Review that summarizes your session with personalized tips.

What’s the difference between Beginner and Intermediate mode?

Beginner mode uses simple language with easy-to-understand hand ratings (GREAT, GOOD, OKAY, WEAK) and explains poker terms as you play. Intermediate mode provides more technical analysis including pot odds calculations, GTO concepts, and advanced position strategy.

Is this real money poker?

No, PocketCherries™ is a training app only. No real money is involved. The chips are for practice purposes to help you improve your poker skills before playing at real tables.

Can I play on my phone?

Absolutely! PocketCherries™ is fully optimized for mobile devices. Play on your phone or tablet anytime, anywhere, perfect for warming up before heading to the casino.

What poker variant does PocketCherries™ use?

PocketCherries™ simulates No-Limit Texas Hold’em cash games with $1/$2 blinds and up to 5 bot opponents, the most popular format at casinos and online.

Can I change the number of opponents at the table?

Yes! You can tap any bot avatar to send them on a break or bring them back. This lets you practice with anywhere from 1 to 5 opponents. Changes take effect at the start of the next hand. At least one opponent must remain active.

Who are the bot opponents?

You play against five distinct AI opponents (Leva, Dianne, David, Drew, and Chris), each with their own playing tendencies. They range from tight and cautious to loose and aggressive, simulating a realistic table dynamic.

What learning resources are available?

PocketCherries™ includes a full Learn Center with guides on Hand Rankings, Game Rules, Position Strategy, Pot Odds, Outs, Win Percentage, Ranges, and a Poker Glossary, all accessible from the home screen.

How can I send feedback or report a bug?

Open the menu (hamburger icon) during gameplay and select Send Feedback. You can submit bug reports, feature suggestions, or general comments directly from within the app.

How can I improve my poker using this app?

Play hands against the AI opponents, review the coaching feedback after each decision, and explore the Learn Center for deeper strategy guides. Consistent practice with real-time feedback is the fastest way to improve.

Why is it called PocketCherries™?

PocketCherries™ is poker slang for pocket sixes (6-6). Like cherries on a slot machine, getting dealt pocket pairs is always a sweet sight at the poker table!
