Position — Chapter 6 | PocketCherries™ Beginner Course
Where you sit relative to the dealer button determines when you must act on each street. Acting later means you see more of your opponents’ decisions before committing chips — a significant information advantage that influences every hand you play.
What You Will Learn
- Early position — first to act after the blinds; the toughest spot at the table.
- Middle position — moderate informational advantage; a slightly wider starting range is profitable.
- Late position (Cutoff and Button) — act last after the flop, turn, and river; the most profitable seats.
- Why the dealer button is the best seat and how to exploit it.
